| NATHAN ALBRECHT Nathan is the Associate Pastor at FGT and leads the youth movement at 180. He believes in this generation of young people and what they can become in Christ. He sees a generation of young people who will rise up and take their place (in our church and in our world) with selfless faith; passionate Christ-centered young people who will live for a purpose greater than themselves and more valuable than their own lives.
Nathan is married to his best friend Rachel. They both grew up in Leamington and started dating in high school. They’ve been married since 2004 and have an adorable little girl named Abby. |
RACHEL ALBRECHT Rachel has been serving alongside her best bud and hubby, Nate, for 8 years, loving teens and loving life. She is passionate about leading a small group and enjoys encouraging, blessing, challenging and inspiring students. Since her 'main ministry' is now at home being a mom to Abby, she has transitioned into a more behind-the-scenes role as an online mentor, accountability partner and friend to the girls of Rooted. When not busy playing tea party or changing diapers you might find Rachel stopped alongside the road at a yard sale hunting down the bargains early Saturday morning.
BEN GAGNE Ben is a Bible College Student and Pastor in Training at FGT. He has a holy discontent for the poverty and injustice that we see across the world. As a result Ben has been actively involved in missions and is planning to one day step into full-time missions. In fact, he lives in January for an eleven month missionary trip where he will spend time serving in 11 different countries around the world. He provides great leadership at 180, 68 and Rooted in being an example of what it is to be a man after God’s heart. He also helps Kev with 180 News & Notes. When they get the creative juices flowing, there’s no telling what will happen!
MALLORY NELSON Mallory is a young adult who knows that the security and approval so many young girls seek can be found in God and brings this message straight to the girls that attend 180. She truly is a big-sister to many of the girls and she faithfully serves behind the scenes, providing a helping hand in the nitty-gritty jobs that come with running so many events and programs. Mallory has completed her post-secondary education and outside the church she works with young children with disabilities. Her heart is almost as big as Gagne’s, but he cries more so we give him the nod on this one!

CARYN DEWHURST Caryn is a young adult who is energetic, creative and slightly crazy but loves God with a contagious passion. Caryn has a heart for helping young girls with the struggles of being a teenager and encourages them to do things God's way, in issues like living a life of purity, being set apart from the world and having a heart only for Jesus. Outside of the church, you can find Caryn telling random jokes, sitting in Timmy's for hours, putting together the latest drama for Sunday mornings or even creating beautiful arrangements with flowers - which is what Caryn is pursuing as a career.

MEIGHAN JAMES Meighan may fool you in more ways than one. She may look like a regular 68 student, but actually she is 20 and a leader at 68. She may seem quiet the first time you meet her, but give her a minute to grab her camera and take a crazy picture with you and the ice will be broken. Meighan loves to express God's love to you and tell you all about the many life experiences she has had over a cup of chocolate milk. Her passions are bigger than her and she writes about all of them in her 3 blogs and 6 journals. When Meighan isn't busy helping run an event at 180 or sharing her heart to her girls at small group, you can find her ringing through people's groceries with a huge smile on her face.

CYNTHIA FERGUSON Cynthia aka "Cynder Block" technically graduated from LDSS, but she is completing half a victory lap just because she wasn't ready to leave all the fun of high school yet. She works at A book store to make some money to help pay for all her new shoes. She loves being involved with the 180 youth movement as God has placed on her heart to be missional to teenagers and junior highs and let Jesus’ light shine through as she passionately follows Him. Cynthia knows that it can be rough out there, being partially deaf, but wants people to understand that God wants to be there to help, no matter what the situation. She is a living example that God doesn't have barriers and she will remind you of this all the time.
MEREDITH STEWART Meredith is a grade 12 student at LDSS, where she serves the school as Prime Minister of the Student Parliament. She has a strong passion for people, and showing them God's love. She is beginning to realize the incredible depth, width and height of God’s love and is excited to be exploring ways to demonstrate His love to the world. You could say the lyric "break my heart for what breaks yours" is Mere's motto for daily living. Meredith directs the band at 180 and loves leading in worship almost as much as Oreos with Peanut Butter. If you haven't tried it with some milk, she honestly encourages you to do so.
KEVIN TOEWS Kevin puts the ‘create’ in creative. He is always brainstorming about something. Whether it is music on Sunday mornings, videos for 180 or tricks on his board, he tries to do the same old differently. It is the same for Kev's walk with God. He isn't ok with what the world has to offer. Rather, he wants a life different than the same old and Kev knows the only way to get that is through Christ. You can see that when Kevin talks to you, tells you a story or even just laughs. He is full of joy that comes from God and wants everyone to have that same excitement about life. Even though Kevin is one of the messiest eaters around, you should take him out to his favorite spot – McD's -and have a meal with him. You will never forget it.
