Missions at FGT

Our world wide outreach is enhanced by our affiliation with The Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. The combined missionary strength of working with 1000 other PAOC churches enables us to minister more effectively in providing a strong base of operation for our missionary endeavors in more than 16 countries around the world.

FGT Family Church Designated Missionary Families

Hector & Ruth Aragon - Guatemala, South America
The Aragons have been actively involved in evangelism and visitation work for ChildCARE Plus (CCP) since January 1997. The program is presently benefiting 15 communities in Guatemala, each with a school and a local church, and with a total enrolment of more than 3,500 children. Hector works with the local pastor, visiting the parents of sponsored children, encouraging them to receive Christ, attend church and to continue sending their kids to school.

They work with the William Cornelius Vocational Training Centre (WCVTC), which provides education in technical studies to CCP graduates.

They are continually taking short term missions teams from Canada to do ministry on the streets, in public schools and in hospitals. They also take Canadian task force teams on any building projects needed on the WCVTC, or to help fix or remodel ChildCARE Plus schools. They also help to lead these teams on work done on new edifices for developing local assemblies. Hector also engages in teaching and preaching in churches and gatherings of pastors and evangelists.

Gary & Marvelyn Schell - Zimbabwe, South Africa
Gary serves as the Academic Dean at Pan African Christian College South (formerly PBC) in Harare, Zimbabwe. The work at the College is primarily to develop Godly Christian leaders for church ministries and various other segments of African society.

Gary is also committed to visiting many of the national churches to minister to them and to be an encouragement to a church that desperately needs it in such times as this in Zimbabwe.

Marvelyn is involved with Women's Ministry and often accepts speaking engagements for conferences and seminars. Her heart is to see the women of Zimbabwe and the Southern African nations unite in ministry to those who are most vulnerable women and children.

Mark & Kim Steinfield - Armenia, Eurasia
The Steinfields are living in the northern Armenian city of Vanadzor where they are working with local church pastors to train leaders, church planters and missionaries to head into the surrounding Muslim nations. At the Ararat School of the Bible, they strive to disciple students in the Bible, doctrine and practical ministry courses. Currently, they are charting the course to plant churches in needy areas in Armenia and looking into opportunities to send missionaries to surrounding nations. During the summer of 2006, a cross cultural training school - Light for the Nations - was run in Vanadzor with 20 Armenian students participating. Kim is forming a group of women leaders to make an impact on the church.
