CONCERNING BITTERNESS
1. Bitterness has a DANGEROUS root.

B. FIVE QUALITIES OF BITTER PEOPLE
1. Bitter people tend to JUSTIFY their bitterness.
2. Bitter people tend to become overly CRITICAL.
3. Bitter people secretly celebrate the MISFORTUNES of others.
4. Bitter people WRITE-OFF entire groups of people.
5. Bitter people STRUGGLE to see bitterness in the MIRROR.Ephesians 4:31-32 Matthew 6:14-15
C. TAKING IT HOME
1. Do you know someone that might be described as a bitter person? Why would you describe them as bitter?
2. How do you think bitterness gets started and begins to “take root” in our relationships? How is “forgiving one another” an antidote for bitterness?
3. Who are you bitter toward? What one step will you take within 24 hours, to begin forgiving someone who has hurt you?
