180
If you a youth or young adult (or have a child that age), then join the movement at 180! Oneighty is the student movement at FGT Family Church that is chasing after transformation in our own lives and in the lives around us. We believe that we have a God who accepts us just as we are and is willing to change us from the inside out. His unconditional love and unconditional belief in who we can become, gives us the courage to embrace His Spirit’s work of transformation within us.
The best part of it all is that no matter what you’ve done or who you’ve become, it’s not too late for God to change you! Just come to Him as you are, because that’s where God starts with all of us.
And why not join the 180 movement so we can pursue transformation together? We have a killer fun time doing it! Just ask anyone who shows up to any of the following events:
180 Friday Nites
Every Friday night dozens of students from Leamington and the surrounding area show up for an awesome time of connecting with friends and with God. We do this with a killer live band, stellar videos about life and what it’s all about, talks with P. Nate and every Friday we run creative and exciting L8Nite events. Some recent stand-outs have been the 180 Dodgebowl, Coffee House, Break & Enter, etc.
We promise you one thing: the only way you’ll feel left out is if you don’t show! Even if you’ve never stepped foot in a church before you’ve got nothing to worry about… we’re just a bunch of students just like you!
If you are interested in coming out than join us here at the church on a Friday from 7:30pm-10pm.
180 Small Groups
For those who are interested in going deeper in their relationship with Jesus we run a Small Groups program every Sunday night at the church. Here we spend time worshipping God in some intimate acoustic worship sets. We also break off into small groups to simply talk about life/God/the Bible. This is where you want to be if you want to take another step towards discovering who God is and His plan for your life.
Small Groups run from 6:30pm-8:30pm on Sunday nights.
180 Events
Every once in a while the students at 180 join together with other students across Ontario for events like OVERFLOW/ELEVATION/NEW YEARS BASH/ETC. These are always EXTREMELY fun times where we gather with anywhere from 100-2000 teenagers to experience some pretty crazy things. As the events draw closer more info is dished out at 180 but some of the things involved include renting out a whole laser tag building/joining together with 2000+ students in Waterloo for a whole weekend of events… and no matter where we are or what we’re doing, there’s always guaranteed to be a band or two layin’ down some beats! Guaranteed fun- every time!
180 Mission Trips
It’s the goal of 180 to provide you with opportunities to really make a difference in this world. Social justice is not a bandwagon that we’ve jumped onto, but a heartfelt value that we hold onto at 180. The student movement here believes they’ve found a love and a hope that is greater than life itself and want to share that with others. That’s why once a year we pack up and head somewhere to do our best a spreading love where love is lost. Recent trips have included Toronto, Cape Breton, Guatemala and Cuba.
If you feel like you want to help make a difference in this world than think about joining one of our trips. It’s always well-planned out, safe and a life-changing experience. The students who return from these trips always return with a new perspective on life!
180 Retreats
Once a year the students at 180 pack up and hit the road for a time to get away from the norm and experience something new. We call this our annual 180 retreat and it involves renting out facilities where we can spend a weekend just having fun and growing closer in our friendships and in our relationships with God. With things like intense worship bands, captivating speakers, and tons of food it’s guaranteed to be worth it! And there are always cool things to do like rock-climbing/horseback riding/capture the flag/snow ball fights/L8Nite Events.
